Knitting
20 March 2013
The Cozy Little Toes are multiplying slowly, the blue pair are finished off, the red pair has one complete sock and a heal turn just completed on the second. Friends visiting yesterday cooed over them and all said they wished someone had knitted them socks for their babies, a lovely compliment. I have been deliberating over a third pair, whether to make them on or not, and decided that I would. I went for the brown/beige yarn that I had in my leftover sock yarn stash and am part way through the cuff of the first sock. I need to get these finished soon as I have two more babies to knit for, plus my youngest has a birthday coming up!
I am still reading Unconditional Parenting by Alfie Kohn which I am really enjoying. I realise that is book is not for everyone, we choose our own individual paths as parents each one unique, this book is right for me and I would recommend it to anyone who is venturing in that direction, or is considering it.
....When you come right down to it, the whole process of raising kids is pretty inconvenient, particularly if you want to do it well. If you're unwilling to give up any of your free time, you want your house to stay quiet and clean, you might consider raising tropical fish instead.....
Joining in with Tami for this weeks work in progress and Ginny for this weeks sharing of knitting and reading.
