...this week of...
...happiness spending time with my parents, catching up with friends I haven't seen for two years, sunshine
...sadness at the tragic death of migrants off the coast of Italy
...creating a storysack, some fabric baskets, rows on my shalom, the front piece of a cardigan, the start of a cardigan, lots of peg people,
...learning about planets, fractions, the Buddhist and Sikh New Year Festivals, wool, sheep, knives, whittling, leaf cutter ants
...thinking about plans for a camping trip that Alice has requested for her birthday
...wondering if I am trying to fit too much into my weeks
...hoping to start planning a new learning project
...looking forward to sowing more seeds in my garden
I love the peg people, just adorable. Sowing seeds is happening around here too. Wishing you a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteThe peg people are all my children's creation. We had run out recently and I have just placed a big order so we have lots......for now. They love painting them :)
DeleteI remember doing crafts like that with our girls when they were little. I miss those times, but as they have gotten older and their interests have changed, we found other things to do together.
ReplyDeleteI guess what we do together will change as the children get older, I am enjoying what we are doing together for now!
Deletei often wonder that... if i am trying too hard to fit stuff into a week. the books sound interesting.
ReplyDeleteThat feeling that some weeks are a bit over busy is a difficult one, when I am planning it I think it will be ok but then when it comes to it.........
DeleteYour weeks always sound busy but happy to me. I'm sure you get lots accomplished. I love your peg people! We like to make and paint little figures too, usually from clay but often from whatever is around. I'm glad you're having a nice time with your parents and your friends. I hope you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThey are busy and happy, although I am not sure we always get that much accomplished!
DeleteCute peg people you have there. Sounds like a lot of good creating going on... I'd love to see your fabric baskets. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteSorry it has taken me so long to reply, was trying to remember where I had written down how to link to a post in a comment!
DeleteYou can see pictures of my fabric baskets here
I love these peg people, so colourful x
ReplyDeleteAww the peg people are adorable! Kitty wants to plant some seeds this week so we might see what we can manage now that the daffs have died down - I'm thinking carrots and parsnips!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with Parsnips I have never been able to be them to germinate!
DeleteVery cute pegs! Im looking forward to sowing seeds too!
ReplyDeleteI hope my seeds germinate as the forecast is for it to be really cold again next week........
DeleteI am wondering the same thing at the moment :) good luck with your garden!
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about this again this week and had a really good look at the next few weeks to make sure I am not putting too many plans together!
DeleteLovely peg people! You have a really great knack of maintaining balance, focusing on joy and achieving a good deal in your busy days :-)
ReplyDeleteSan xx
The balance is a bit too finely tuned at times, but most of the time it is good!
DeleteThose little peg people are just full of character! Beautiful X
ReplyDeleteThank you, the children made them all!
