...is for Zoic...
...of rocks containing fossils with traces of plant life or animals, as is this the case with these. We found these locally at a limestone scar not far from where we live, corals and belemites (the small not very clear rock) and they now live on one of our dining room windowsills. Fossils alway amaze me whenever I find them, however small they are, a connection to a life from millions of years ago.
Joining in for the last week of the Alphabet Photography Project.
Oh I used to love fossil hunting when I was little. Im waiting until my little boy is a bit older before I take him, but we cant wait! Fab #alphabetphoto x
ReplyDeleteHow interesting. We enjoy rock-hunting too, especially loved doing it at the Jurassic coast! :) #alphabetphoto.
ReplyDeleteHa! We've done it again. Great minds, I'm sure. I went for zoic too. We have a large selection of fossils, on our windowsills too, as fossil hunting is one of our favourite outings. I'm sure I should thin the collection down, but not yet.... #AlphabetPhoto
ReplyDeleteA fantastic Z! I love fossil hunting - saying that, I've only ever done it once, properly, while on an OU residential school back in 2006. I still have the little seashell fossil I found :) There's a place in Shetland that has fossilized fish in the rocks. I must make an effort to visit there!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to stop by and thank you for offering to knit a hat for my friend! It is very kind of you and very much appreciated!! If you could send an e-mail to: Knittinglove@outlook.com I will send you my home address. Thank you, Anke
