....is for Hammock...
...hanging in our garden. We bought this hammock when travelling round Ecuador but we had no where to hang it for years. When we bought our house the first big job we did was landscape the garden, it was a patch of grass when we moved in. We my husband built an arbour with attachments for the hammock. There is an unruly honeysuckle growing over the top, you can see a picture of it here along with others of the garden, and a small thyme lawn underneath. I loved lying in it with the children when they were babies, nowdays they tend to use it whilst I am pottering in the garden.

I love hammocks! We have one we swing between the bizarre concrete pillars in our garden. They're supposed to be for a clothesline but one space is reserved for the hammock on those rare wind-less sunny days!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a hammock. I have one in my future.. when the garden is all finished and I can stretch out under the shade of the trees just admiring it all. Hey ho!
ReplyDeleteoh we have that same hammock, i really love spending time in it even though a mouse bite a hole through it. #alphabetproject
ReplyDeleteThey always look so nice. Like a solace. In my country babies dont have cribs but hammocks and seeing this reminds me of my sister when she was little and I would move the hammock to make her sleep =) #alphabetphoto
ReplyDeleteThat looks like such a relaxing spot :) #alphabetphoto
ReplyDeleteOur neighbours used to have one and, I have to admit, that I do hanker to add one to our garden. Restful just to see it strung up between two posts. #AlphabetPhoto
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great spot for a hammock. Ours moves around a bit - we haven't found the perfect place for it yet...
ReplyDeleteWe don't really have a place to put one, but I am looking forward to relaxing in the one on vacation in a couple of weeks! Your's is a pretty one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful hammock. Is there such a thing as unruly honeysuckle ;) I'm sure it must smell heavenly when its in bloom! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely :-) I wish we had somewhere to hang a hammock :-)
ReplyDeleteI so nearly used Hammock! We have a similarly colourful one which I brought back from Brazil years ago and we had to build a special spot for it using two railway sleepers on end. We all still love rocking in the hammock -one of my favourite places on a sunny day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely spot, i don't think I'd want to get out once I got in it!
ReplyDeleteOh wow what a fabulous spot and a great hammock too. I'm not sure I'd be able to leave! Thanks for sharing with #alphabetphoto
