....is for Daisy
A delightful wild flower which is everywhere at the moment. It reminds me of long hot summers as a child, making daisy chains and trying to explain the expression upsa-daisy to a French colleague which I have since learnt has nothing to do with the flower at all!
Linking up with the Alphabet Photography Project. I know the alphabet doesn't start with D but I have only just found this lovely linky project and better late than never, right?
Love the p[hoto. Our "lawn" is covered with daisies and I think them pretty and have no desire for a smooth green sward thank goodness. Daisies are so fresh and I love the way they close up in wet weather. What is the origin of ups a daisy then?
ReplyDeleteThey are ever so present in our life willing to lift our spirit up =) #alphabetphoto
ReplyDeleteYour daisy looks like its reaching for the sky. Beautiful and tranquil. Love the patches of daisies in our garden. #AlphabetPhoto
ReplyDeleteDelightful daisy :) and you can end with abc if you need to :)
ReplyDeleteI love daisies, such pretty flowers x #alphabetphoto
ReplyDeleteLove daisies, they take me right back to my childhood. My little boy brings me daisy bouquets #alphabetphoto
ReplyDeleteLovely, we've got masses here as well, more daisies than grass almost I think!
ReplyDeleteLovely to have you, welcome :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful image, it's always nice to remember back to those days of lying in the sun making daisy chains. Loved doing it myself. Thank you so much for sharing and joining in with #alphabetphoto
May well be too late for you but if you wanted to do a backdated catch up post and link up to the letter C, just shout. The C linky closed the other day but I can link you up.
I love daisies and have memories of making daisy chains on lazy summer days. Great photo x
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning photo! absolutely beautiful :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I remember sitting on the grass banks in middle school in the scorching heat making daisy chains, it's funny how a flower can trigger a specific memory.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo, and yes, it does represent the summer very well :)
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your pics! I have the greatest admiration for anyone who grows anything - I manage to kill anything green! Sometimes I think if I had a garden long enough, I might think of making it my own ;) We move so often that I tend to feel indifferently about it. Well, I know who to turn to when I have my own garden next year! Lovely post. x
