Gratitudes
20 October 2013
Joining in with Taryn for her heartfelt Sunday tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful.
This week I have been grateful for...
...the few hours of sunshine we have had.
...a quiet hour each morning to myself it gives me time to prepare for the day.
...the continuing development of our weekly rhythm.
...listening in my children absorbed in play.
...enjoying art together.
...a fun afternoon out with friends despite finding our intended destination inexplicably closed.
...story time, a chapter a day I need to make a conscious effort to fit this into each day as the children really enjoy it.
...the realisation that you can fit into the day what you want to and that it is not about making time to fit things in it is about consciously deciding.
...hearty soups and stews in these cooler days.
...silence.

Nice post. My moto has always been: We all have time to do the things we really want to do.
ReplyDeleteAh, there's nothing like a bit of silence, it feeds the soul.
ReplyDeleteHope you have another lovely week.

I need to fit in more story time as well I think. Sometimes if I read a slightly different book to the boys it helps them try different things more. And you are right about fitting in what you want to. It's something I always tell myself - you make time for what you really want to do. Hope you all have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about 'consciously deciding' ... I remember when I was home-edding 'tomorrow is another day' became my mantra!
