In more recent years I only find myself feeling the urge to start making lists when I am feeling a bit anxious and overwhelmed. It helps me make sense of the chaos. I find that if I just write down all of the things that are buzzing around inside my head onto a nice, neat list then I can stop thinking about them for a while. :)Nellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04104412226519227796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1151798681951781536.post-8681489853958755622014-07-05T21:07:18.411+01:002014-07-05T21:07:18.411+01:00I love your commentary so true and so funny, espec...I love your commentary so true and so funny, especially being bashed around the head with a list!! I used to write lists and then found myself worrying if I did not manage to tick off every single item! As a result I have avoided lists these past few years but instead keep a running tally in my head, which causes brain ache!

We are away next week and this post has reminded me that I really do need to tackle a list for packing and shopping! Thanks for sharing.

San x Sandra Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16260644073051470011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1151798681951781536.post-84844061816124541602014-07-05T18:10:39.567+01:002014-07-05T18:10:39.567+01:00I used to use lists, I had one every day, and love...I used to use lists, I had one every day, and loved crossing things off. When I owned my own petsitting business, they were the only way that I could keep track of every thing. But now that I stay at home, I really don't have a need for them. And I like it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1151798681951781536.post-64488508394487103482014-07-04T15:18:13.429+01:002014-07-04T15:18:13.429+01:00I love lists! If I take a few minutes to get all of the things I want to get done the next day down on paper I drift off to sleep much easier and I am less inclined to be distracted by other tasks the following day -( the distracting tasks just get pushed onto the list for the day after that!). When it's all written out I find it easier to prioritise things. The only annoying thing is that once you start a to-do list - you'll quickly realise how endless it is... that's why day to day lists work better for me ;)Sadhbh @ Where Wishes Come Fromhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07874249434831251999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1151798681951781536.post-30099300300917517712014-07-04T14:21:26.482+01:002014-07-04T14:21:26.482+01:00I am a list writer. All my lists are in one place, any appointments I have are in there and I find I'm able to plan my time better.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1151798681951781536.post-33027815680456555542014-07-04T13:05:44.129+01:002014-07-04T13:05:44.129+01:00I am a list writer and I find the more detailed th...I am a list writer and I find the more detailed the list the more I get done (and the less I forget!!). However I'm slightly worried that if I don't complete my list I will feel inadequate - guess I should just make teeny tiny lists...EMMAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02900165967124695510noreply@blogger.com
