Knitting

19 September 2012

I am joining in with Ginny and friends for this weeks sharing of knitting and reading and Tami for this weeks work in progress. I  have finished the socks that were on the needles last week and cast on another pair.

I have also cast on several other projects this week as we are off on holiday for the next two weeks.  They are all Christmas presents so depending who we are with and what time of day it is I have a project to be getting on with!  So I have two more scarves like this one and a dress for my youngest.  I hope when I share again in a couple of weeks time these projects will be either finished or progressing well.

Reading this week has been really slow.  I think I may have only read a few pages if any.  I have other things on my mind and just needed to knit, knit, knit this week.

What are you knitting and reading?

  1. Reading has been slow for me too, lately.
You're lapping me on the Christmas knitting, now. I've been set back with an injury this week but am hoping to get busy very soon.

    1. Hope your injury is nothing serious, and heals soon. I could not knit for a while as I had very sore hands due to urticaria it was really frustrating!

    1. I left it too late last year, so I was determined to make more presents this year. I knew if I did not start soon it would a repeat of last year.

  4. I LOVE that dress! I just added it to my queue for *next* Christmas - I think it will take too long to knit for this year, with everything else I have to do, and also my daughter is in a size 4 now so if I make her a 6 for next year it will fit for two years! Thank you so much for sharing the link; I might have missed it otherwise... xo

    1. Your welcome, it is early days but it seems to be knitting up well. My first big project on circulars.

  5. I'm back to knitting socks as Christmas presents myself. After knitting a big project I'm kind of amazed at how fast they are progressing...

  9. Reading this week has been a little slow for me as well, as I seem to fall asleep just a page or two in. The dress is gorgeous, and I am looking forward to seeing all of your finished projects.

  10. Lately, I have had to be very sneaky with my knitting. Sometimes I wish people just wouldn't ask questions ;)
